Artist's Description

Pastel on Mi-Teinte Tex paper (burgundy)
This painting is in an area called Tarcombe, where I have enjoyed several camping trips. I felt the title applied equally to the way the sun was breaking through the clouds and the condition of the fence!

About Lynda Robinson

Lynda Robinson

I live in Victoria, Australia. I have never undertaken any formal art training, but I have enjoyed dabbling and daubing since early childhood. I took up painting fairly seriously in 1985 and dared to start entering my work in shows! I am now totally hooked and if I don’t do something ‘arty’ at least a couple of days a week I get snappy! My work is influenced by a love of the environment and country life. I am attracted to subjects in the first instance by the way light interacts with the surroundings. My subjects are varied ranging from animals, landscapes, figurative, portraiture, life drawing and still life. I find the challenge of painting water particularly enjoyable. I have tried all mediums and pastel has emerged as my favourite....
