This painting was accomplished on a very warm summer morning at about 6.00 a.m. when I was the only person around on this stretch of beach. I made preliminary sketches with pastels, and took reference photographs to finish the painting in the studio.
About Lynda Robinson
I live in Victoria, Australia. I have never undertaken any formal art training, but I have enjoyed dabbling and daubing since early childhood. I took up painting fairly seriously in 1985 and dared to start entering my work in shows! I am now totally hooked and if I don’t do something ‘arty’ at least a couple of days a week I get snappy! My work is influenced by a love of the environment and country life. I am attracted to subjects in the first instance by the way light interacts with the surroundings. My subjects are varied ranging from animals, landscapes, figurative, portraiture, life drawing and still life. I find the challenge of painting water particularly enjoyable. I have tried all mediums and pastel has emerged as my favourite....

I replaced the original image to make a larger image, and unfortunately this means I have deleted all the lovely comments I had received in the past couple of days!!! Being an FAA Novice, I didn't realise I could have done it through 'Edit Image'! I am so sorry I have lost the comments, but thank all those people who did leave such kind words about this artwork!!!
