Artist's Description
Pastel 55cm x 35cm approximately on Mi-Teinte 'Tex' paper (burgundy). This is a portrait of my grand daughter, Amelia. I enjoy the challenge of portraiture and this one was challenging, as her parental approval was essential!!! Fortunately it was forthcoming!
About Lynda Robinson
I live in Victoria, Australia. I have never undertaken any formal art training, but I have enjoyed dabbling and daubing since early childhood. I took up painting fairly seriously in 1985 and dared to start entering my work in shows! I am now totally hooked and if I don’t do something ‘arty’ at least a couple of days a week I get snappy! My work is influenced by a love of the environment and country life. I am attracted to subjects in the first instance by the way light interacts with the surroundings. My subjects are varied ranging from animals, landscapes, figurative, portraiture, life drawing and still life. I find the challenge of painting water particularly enjoyable. I have tried all mediums and pastel has emerged as my favourite....
