This artwork is truly spellbinding. I can actually picture myself in the scene smelling the fresh earth, feeling the sunshine on my skin. I think the most impressive part about this piece is that you captured the full spectrum of colors produced by the sunlight … lush purples and blues, both bright and earthy greens. This vast array of color and contrast makes the scene feel very alive and magical. I'm sure the person who bought this painting admires it ALL the time lol. L/F

Lynda Robinson replied:

Wow! That's a frameable comment Michael! I might have to print it out! It only had one outting when I exhibited it at a solo exhibition I had a few years ago. It was the first one that sold! I hope you have a great day. :)

Artist's Description

There is a radio program in Australia called Macca on a Sunday Morning, which explores all aspects of this country. There is a segment in it called Why I live where I live, and it got me thinking about where I live. I did this painting as part of a solo exhibition (My Easel and Eye) which was held in 2005 and this was the first painting that was sold. Yesterday morning was a glorious autumn morning, and I went for my early morning walk. This same area of the bush looked exactly like this painting!

About Lynda Robinson

Lynda Robinson

I live in Victoria, Australia. I have never undertaken any formal art training, but I have enjoyed dabbling and daubing since early childhood. I took up painting fairly seriously in 1985 and dared to start entering my work in shows! I am now totally hooked and if I don’t do something ‘arty’ at least a couple of days a week I get snappy! My work is influenced by a love of the environment and country life. I am attracted to subjects in the first instance by the way light interacts with the surroundings. My subjects are varied ranging from animals, landscapes, figurative, portraiture, life drawing and still life. I find the challenge of painting water particularly enjoyable. I have tried all mediums and pastel has emerged as my favourite....
